Course Description
Learn the ancient art of lost wax casting to create finished jewelry and sculptural pieces. This class will cover techniques including wax carving, investment mold making, metal casting, and finishing casted pieces. Instruction is oriented towards beginners but students are welcome to work on more advanced projects. Copper and brass are provided, additional metals including silver are available for purchase. Non-ferrous metals only (copper, brass, nickel brass, bronze, silver, and gold).
